SEWING, FABRICS, & FASHIONISTAS... OH MY!!
So I recently signed up for a "Sewing with Patterns" class at Whipstitch Fabrics here in Atlanta and the first class is TOMORROW! We will be making a blouse throughout this class. I am super pumped and excited to be getting another form of education, outside of college.
I finally got my email from my instructor telling me of the supplies to bring into the first class. The email listed for us to bring:
  • 2 1/2 yards of fabric (cotton, cotton blends, linen, seersucker.. and a few others)
  • Tailors chalk
  • Measuring Tape
  • Cutting tool
  • Pins

Pretty much typical "first day of school" supplies.

After leaving work, I made a trip to Hancock Fabrics to get my supplies...

There were a few fabrics that caught my eye...

Scribble Scribble..?
Colorful Tribal?? (This is the one I chose!)
Flower Power!
Tropical Paradise
Origami anyone?
...I'm lost on this one! LOL.
MY FAVORITE ONE! I bought this one also, just because it was soooooo awesome!

After walking through the terrible wind chill of Atlanta, I made my way back to the train station to head home...
I waited in style and in the process, I found a few fashionistas!
Houndstooth Spotting!!
The picture was a little blurry, but this fashionista was rocking a classic plaid coat with leggings and combat boots. Great way to fight the cold and still be cute. :)
I will update everyone on my class tomorrow.. and I will try to sneak a few pics too!
