Hey guys,

I can't remember if I have mentioned this before, but this year is the year of protective styles for me. I have mostly been trying out various braid styles and I did wear a lace front curly wig for about a month. Since living in the desert, I have developed a new relationship with my hair. When I was in Atlanta, I had a regular hairdresser and my hair was healthy and on fleek weekly!

But is slim pickings for a decent hairstylist since there is not a big black community here. I did find an amazing braider, Adrienne, who has been doing my hair since late last year. She is the best and always wants to do my crazy ideas. I have been super inspired by braids with beads. I have seen influx of black women on instagram with a variation of styles and I am loving it.

I am totally inspired to hop of the braids with beads trend. Well, let me not call it a trend, because it has never went out of style. Let me just make sure I get my hair done, before the Kardashians get the style and acts like they recreated it. *cough* "boxer braids" *cough*

Anyways, I will keep you guys posted if I do decide to get this style. I love that there are so many ways to get the style, so you can really make it original to you. I will just need to buckle down & really figure out how I want it. :)
